“You don’t have to be great at something to start, but you have to start to be great at something.”

“You don’t have to be great at something to start, but you have to start to be great at something.”

This week:
It’s not enough to have values you hold near and dear but you have to behave into them

  • Values are aspirational
  • Mission is inspirational
  • Values are perspirational!

Here are many opportunities to embody the world you wish to see, bringing love into your work and being human-centered, applying triple bottom line accounting to measure the right things, raising an aging parent and honoring our wise elders, supporting gun violence prevention and making society safer, or being kind to animals- one squirrel at a time…

Wherever we find ourselves we can do something small for one another. It all begins with a single step- taking a decision.
If you are local, I sure hope you invest the time and energy to be at any/all of these events that call your spirit.
See you there. Our world needs you!

Found: A Little Squirrel

Soldiers in Belarus found a little squirrel and brought it to the Warrant officer.
The squirrel was very weak and about to die, so the officer took care of it, fed it like a baby every 4 hours.

3 months ago the guy left the army and now works as  a taxi driver – and the squirrel is always with him no matter where he goes!

“Rescuing  one animal may not change the world, but for this squirrel,  His world has changed forever!”

Getting to the Heart of Business:
Shift Happened! Business Love Part 2

UPDATED EVENT TIME from 4-7 to 7-10 pm on Nov 15th

This is way more than just a launch party for Moshe’s new book; this is a sea change to an entirely new future for all of us.

Join us on Friday, 7-10 pm, November 15, for a truly remarkable celebration.

What’s up? A huge and positive wave of change is already well underway in San Diego. We aim to celebrate and grow it together, at our next big event on Friday November 15.

In stark counterpoint to all the greed, inauthenticity, and fear that is driving so many businesses today. a stronger wave of change is here in America’s finest, kindest and most purpose-filled region. There is a steady emergence of heart-centered individuals, organizations & communities committed to a living from a deeper place of being, where love – not fear – is the prime driver, and elevating humanity is the goal, aim and purpose.

This movement is for you – if you’re tired of the fighting nature of business, the ethical compromises it requires, the emptiness you feel at times, and the suffering it causes.

This movement is for you – if you are yearning for real substance and significance, with a ravenous hunger for better ways to define success in life and in business, as well as a deep thirst for authentic connection and belonging.

This movement is for you – if you know something is off, even if you don’t know what it is- and deep inside you wonder if there is a better way, with greater satisfaction and a different way to prosper.

You’re not alone. More and more of us – individuals and organizations – are saying enough is enough!

San Diego is helping lead the way to encourage the heart, exemplified with the latest work of two local authors, Moshe Engelberg and Steve Farber, and convened by local organizations including the Chamber of Purpose San Diego.

Dr. Moshe Engelberg’s book for The Amare Wave: Uplifting Business by Putting Love to Woris coming out November 12. Best-selling author Steve Farber’s newest book Love Is Just Damn Good Business, was just released last month. These thought leaders, along with many others, are propelling San Diego to a sea change that builds the amare wave and creates damn good business for all of us.

Business is not akin to war, so we need to stop talking and acting like it is. Companies that have the courage to lead with love, do better-often much better. It’s a different and much more rewarding way to prosper in business that you can adopt too. That’s the key idea of Dr. Moshe Engelberg’s upcoming book The Amare Wave: Uplifting Business by Putting Love to Work. In it, he shows how a mighty wave, growing in momentum and force every day is propelling good organizations away from the fear-based “business as war” fighting paradigm, and toward a fresh, love-centered approach that works better for business and society.

Love is not only appropriate in the context of business, it’s at the very heart of great leadership, and, therefore, the very foundation of a thriving, competitive, sustainable enterprise. When love is intentionally part of an organization’s framework and operationalized in its culture, that’s when something transformative and great happens. That’s when you foster loyalty. That’s when you cultivate raving fans. That’s when people love you in return. That’s the core message of San Diego author Steve Farber’s latest book, Love Is Just Damn Good Business and its creating a new paradigm in the business world with implications that spill into every aspect of our lives.

If you are tired of getting pounded in the white water and ready to get into the positive flow that you already know, you’re invited to the official San Diego book launch party for The Amare Wave: Uplifting Business by Putting Love to Worand the building of this new turning tide!

No one of us is as powerful as all of us and there is no bystanding! We’re inviting you to co-lead this momentous wave bringing the power of love to the forefront of successful business.

If we can change the expectation and experience of what it means to be in business, we change everything!

This is way more than just a launch party; this is a sea change to an entirely new future for all of us.

Join us on Friday, November 15 from 7-10 PM at Corporate Alliance of San Diego. There’ll be food, mingling with kindred spirits and great collective energy. Easy parking too. And bonus- great live music from a surprise “Amare” band! And we’ll have other nourishment and sustenance for your heart and soul too.

Are you in?

Spread the love, mobilize your peeps, and register via the link below so we can expect you and feed you.

It is time to do what we love in the service of people who love what we do.
